While the doll house comics captured discrete moments as I remember them, these single room dioramas present my stream of consciousness recollections of feelings associated with each of these rooms from the first-floor of my house, the one inhabited by my grandparents for most of my childhood. There are instances of memory presented, but the text more often refers to less specific time and more to the nostalgic impression left behind. These are my attempts to capture Bachelard’s idealized childhood reverie in sculptural comic form.
